By reserving a charter or using our Service, you consent to these Terms. Should you not agree with part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the Service.
2. Service Overview
VelvetCitrusLab offers upscale yacht chartering services that include, but are not limited to:
- Daily yacht rentals
- Sunset cruises
- Corporate retreats
- Special events
- Multi-day charters
Service availability depends on several factors, and we reserve the right to alter or cancel services when necessary.
3. Booking and Reservations
3.1 Booking Process
To reserve a charter, you are required to:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide valid and comprehensive information
- Make the requisite deposit as indicated in your booking confirmation
- Accept these Terms & Conditions
3.2 Confirmation
A booking is only considered confirmed after the payment is received and we send you written confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
3.3 Availability
Charter bookings depend on boat availability and appropriate weather conditions. We will strive to accommodate your preferred scheduling.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Pricing
All prices are stated in € and are inclusive of relevant taxes unless specified otherwise. Prices can change without prior notice.
4.2 Payment Schedule
- Deposit: 50% of the total cost of the charter due upon booking
- Remaining balance: Due 48 hours before the charter departs
- Incidental expenses (if any): Payable after the charter is completed
4.3 Payment Methods
We provide the option to pay via major credit cards, bank wire transfers, and certified checks. All payments are processed using secure and encrypted systems.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Customer Cancellations
- If cancelled more than 72 hours before departure: Full refund with the deduction of processing charges
- If cancelled between 24-72 hours before departure: 50% refund
- If cancelled less than 24 hours before departure: No refund
5.2 Weather Cancellations
In the event that weather conditions make it unsafe as per our captain's judgement, we will suggest to:
- Reschedule your charter without additional fees
- Issue a full refund if rescheduling isn't an option
5.3 Mechanical Issues
If a mechanical issue arises with your assigned vessel, we will endeavor to supply an appropriate replacement. If a substitute isn't available, you will be refunded in full.
6. Safety and Conduct
6.1 Safety Requirements
Passengers must:
- Adhere to instructions given by the crew
- Utilize any safety gear as needed
- Disclose any health conditions that could affect their safety
- Stay within designated areas on the vessel
6.2 Prohibited Items
The following are not permitted aboard:
- Glass containers
- Illegal drugs
- Firearms or any form of weapons
- An excessive amount of non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas or lemonades (beyond reasonable consumption for the journey's duration)
- Pets (unless prior permission has been given)
6.3 Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully. We retain the right to end a charter prematurely without any refund if the conduct of any passenger jeopardizes safety or hinders the enjoyment for others.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Our Liability
We limit our liability up to the amount paid for your charter. We hold no responsibility for:
- Injuries sustained due to negligence on your part
- Theft or damage to personal belongings
- Any form of indirect, consequential, or punitive loss
- Delays subject to the weather or circumstances we cannot control
7.2 Insurance Coverage
We ensure our vessels and operations are covered by comprehensive marine insurance. Passenger's personal and travel insurance is their responsibility.
7.3 Assumption of Risk
By electing to engage in our chartering services, you recognize that activities carried out at sea come with inherent hazards and you accept accountability for your own safety and wellbeing.
8. Modifications and Itinerary Changes
Our right to amend itineraries, routes, or schedules remains and is intended to be used in response to weather, safety, or operational demands. We will always endeavor to provide a comparable alternative.
9. Force Majeure
We shall not be deemed liable for any delay, cancellation, or change resulting from uncontrollable forces, which include but aren't limited to:
- Extreme weather phenomena
- Natural disasters
- Legal or governmental restrictions
- Harbor shutdowns
- Unforeseen mechanical failures
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal data is managed according to our Privacy Policy. By utilizing our services, you give us your consent to amass and make use of such information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
The content on our website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is legally protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works is prohibited without our explicit written consent.
12. Governing Law
